Assignment 2: Audio Visual Presentation – Due April 13 or 20

Purpose: To produce an audiovisual presentation or Facebook Group illuminating a

Canadian theme. Keep in mind that Canada has a strong international outreach and the
multicultural mosaic of our population is international in scope. So you are not confined
to hockey, beer and road trips.

Guidelines: Each student is responsible for a 3 to 4 minute AV presentation. If you decide

to collaborate then the group presentation will be 3 to 4 minutes times the number of
group members. For instance, two member groups will produce a 6 to 8 minute

• Political Attack Ad
• Heritage Moment
• Canadian TV promo
• Canadian Public Service Announcement
• Facebook Group on a Canadian theme

Class: March 23.

Besides our regular discussions, by the end of class:

• Students or groups will come prepared to tell the class about their topic
and if applicable, their editorial opinion
• Choice of media style (1 through 5 above)
• Contribute and ad hoc group feedback
• Mail a 50 word summary to your class email box
o Either 12to3@gmail.com or 3to6@gmail.com
• If you’re in a group, all members mail their own 50 word assignment mentioning
their proposed contribution to the group effort

Class: March 30.
