We have to learn Indian heritage even in this ultra modern computer era BECAUSE

1. Feeling and creating a sense of pride in the mind of Indians. World over people are proud about their
country because they know their glorious heritage. They know the achievements of their forefathers. They
learn more and more about that and teach others also. They glorify their heritage. Unfortunately what all the
things taught to us, in India are not at all the heritage nor the true history. They are all denigrating and
degrading information. Thus it is our bound duty to learn and teach the true heritage for creating a sense of
pride in our mind.
2. We have to inform the world that our ancestors have created literally modern knowledge which are now
claimed by some of the western scientists and scholars. Thus our heritage gets the blame that it is devoid of
such pure science and technology and their credit has gone to others. Thus it is our duty to inform the world
that we have discovered and also invented many modern knowledge in India from time immemorial . Thus
getting our due to our people can be done only through learning and teaching our heritage. Our own people
denigrate our heritage for demonstrating that they are progressives, atheists and rationalists. The ancient
Indian contributions in mathematics, astronomy, metallurgy, physics, chemistry, biology, biotechnology and so
on are even today available for ready reference to the impartial and unbiased scholars world over. Thus we
have to learn our heritage for claiming what are due to us in that area of knowledge.
3. Many ancient Indian knowledge like Ayurveda, yoga, vedic mathematics, Sanskrit, music, dance, cultural
activities, musical instruments, variety of food, customs and rituals etc are used world over today. This is
particularly because of the negatives of the modern knowledge. Even the Vedas and Upanishads are now a
days spreading world over, in its true spirit. Thus we have to learn our heritage to mix with the good of modern
knowledge and remove the negatives present in the modern system. We can also use ( we should also use
directly) these heritage knowledge for a better life.
These are the three important points we should remember while learning and teaching our heritage for a
glorious modern life.
