    Directions:
    1.Usea
    plasticknife
    toshaveyourcrayonsinto
    smallpieces.
    2.Collecttheshavingsona
    papertowel
    .Beas
    neatasyoucan.
    4.Eachlabpartnershouldmove(erode)andlay
    down(deposit)therockfragmentsinaneatpilein
    thecenterofthe
    foil
    .Seteachnewpileontopof
    thepreviousones.
    6.Spacesbetweenthefragmentsarereducedinsizebypressure(compaction)andfilledin
    witharocksoup/cementingagents(cementation).Thelowerlayersbecomecompactedby
    theweightofthenewlayersabove.Carefullyfoldthelooselayersofcrayonshavingsinside
    thealuminumfoilcreatingapacket.
    7.Pressthepacketbetweenthepalmsofyourhandsandpressfirmly.Thiswillcompactyour
    weatheranderodedrocks(crayonshavings).

    boxonyournerdwordssheet
    ,writeasentenceabouttheappearanceofyourrock.
