Chicago is home to one of the largest Chinatowns in

North America.
In Chinatown, there are a lot of small shops and
restaurants which are usually family owned.

Fun Facts
and
Attractions

In the shops you can find cultural things from China

such as pottery, clothing, toys, incense and more.
The many restaurants serve traditional Chinese food
and drinks. Tapioca pearls are common in many of
their drinks like smoothies and teas.
There is a website for Chinatown where one can find
upcoming events and services. A big event in June is
the annual Dragon Boat Race for Literacy.
In one area you can find the square zodiacs where
there are twelve statues, one for every zodiac sign.
The zodiacs are different then that of the Greeks and
they are determined by birth year.

Visiting new neighborhoods are worth it.

You never know what you might find
somewhere.
