Your self-assessment shows that you are beginning to analyze your
practice in relation to student learning and the theory. This is a good
start. For future growth, work towards going more in depth about why
the children responded the way they did in relation to your practice
and the theory. Think too, about what else you could have done to
teach more strongly to one lesson objective. What, exactly would this
look like in your lesson plan? What would this look like in practice?
What would the think aloud sound like?
It sounds like you really needed to be flexible when you taught this
lesson as the situation was slightly different from what you had
anticipated. How will you work with your CT in the future to clarify the
lesson objective?
It is clear that you learned a great deal from this experience, Cici,, that
you can take forward into your next lesson.
