Global Trek is a Scholastic page that is intended for students who are
learning about geographical locations, and who want to get specific details
about certain places. There are no advertisements that disrupt the learning
process. This website was currently copyrighted in 2015, so the data is very
up to date. Scholastic is known as an educational website that provides
students with many learning opportunities. The resources this website
provides are allowing kids to go on mini treks across the world to
experience and see other places they are not accustomed to seeing. This
website provides students with the ability to explore new places, and build
on background knowledge to better prepare them for future subjects.

National Geographic is a website for kids to explore a variety of activities.
There are few advertisements but all relate to educational experiences, or
have a background of education. The website is updated regularly, to keep
the information current and ready for kids to view. National Geographic for
kids is a great website specifically for kids and their educational experience.
Authors of the website are well known educators, and people who believe in
education. There are so many different activities for students to view. Such
as, educational games, videos, and pictures that relate to the content in the

classroom. This is a great website for students to incorporate geography


because it provides many opportunities to learn about geographical
locations.

Sheppards Software is a website with the intention of teaching kids of all
grade levels specific geographical locations. The author and creator Brad
Sheppard Jr. also a programming extraordinaire and Jasmine Chapgar the
designer and animator work together to provide students with endless
educational possibilities. There are some third party advertisers that fund the
website, but none that are inappropriate if a student were to click on them.
The purpose of Sheppards Software is to create games and websites with
sound and visual effects to make learning fun. As well as to see progression
in the students knowledge, and ensure they are learning.

9) Organisms and environments. The student knows and understands
that living organisms within an ecosystem interact with one another
and with their environment. The student is expected to:
(A) investigate that most producers need sunlight, water, and
carbon dioxide to make their own food, while consumers are
dependent on other organisms for food; and
(B) describe the flow of energy through food webs, beginning
with the Sun, and predict how changes in the ecosystem affect
the food web such as a fire in a forest.

The organisms and their environments website is designed to teach children
about different organisms and how they interact in their environment. There
are ads on the main homepage, but for the specific link there are no
websites that disrupt the learning process. The few websites are educational,
so there in no problem in ensuring the student stays on task. This website

has specific interactive learning lessons, and each has a link to teach
students about the different organisms and how they engage in their
environment. The copyright on the website is recent, so the information
found throughout the website is up to date. This is a great study tool to make
sure students are understanding all of the material, and have a better and
deeper understanding of the environments and what kinds of animals are
found there.

Time for Kids is part of Times Magazine designed specifically for kids to
explore different environments in our world. Times is a weekly classroom
magazine that motivates kids to read in all subject areas. Many issues cover
a wide range of real-world topics. The online magazine has ads, but they are
mostly only there to promote educational experiences, and topics to learn.
Like most of the other websites Time is updated regularly and has a 2015
copyright that validates the information provided. Although some articles can
be dated to 2013, most are still pretty recent. This website provides many
great resources that enhance the students knowledge of an environment
that they are learning about, or want to learn more about. There are many
tools provided throughout out the website such as mini lessons, homework
helper, and many new experiences.
