able to complete all the stations that we havent
Explanation/procedures
had a chance to do yet. But I would like to
Teacher demonstration
remind you of what you will be doing at these
Teacher think aloud
stations.

TASK:
I DO:

If you are at the green table, you will be

completing a worksheet. But you need to first
color the shapes, the circle is black, the square
is purple and the triangle is blue.
After the shapes have been colored, you are
able to cut them out. Then you will glue the
shapes on to the missing ones in the picture.
Once those steps are done, then you would be
able to color the picture.

Students would repeat

the colors of the shapes
after I have said all of
them.

The writing center will be working on writing

numbers again, but in the white box, you will
draw a picture that shows me how you would
show that number.
Mrs. Gaard will be at the purple table working
with IPads again.
If you are on the carpet, you will be playing
memory with Mrs. Norma

WE DO:
What were the steps for the green table
again?

Assess 1.2 -Students should be able to identify the shapes

Check for Understanding on the worksheet, name the colors and then
know the steps to complete the worksheet.
Part 3: Guided support/practice
YOU DO:
Now when you hear your name, you may go

over to that station. If you are at the writing

until a teacher or a para has given you further
instruction to begin your station.
Assess 1.3 -Students will have started on the stations
Check for Understanding assignment and completed as much as
possible in the time provided.

Name on the paper,

color the shapes the
correct color, cut the
shapes out on the
bottom, glue them on
the outlines and then
color the rest of the
picture.

Students will go to their

assigned spots to start
working, and then
switch after 15 minutes.

Part 4: Closure
Restate learning target

DISCOURSE:
When your station is all cleaned up and you
have been dismissed from Ms. Gaard or I, you
may go back to your table and wait until we tell
you what is next.

Once students are

dismissed from their
stations, they may go
back to their tales and
wait patiently.

Reflection:
This lesson wasnt my best by far. But I learned a lot about it and how to handle different situations
and how I should have went through some of the different topics. I didnt demonstrate on how to right the
numbers, although it was 0 and 1, but still should have went over them. The worksheet was harder for
them than I thought and I could have handled that better and had them interact with it more before starting
the sheet. Memory could have been shown, but I had just played it with all of them early, reason why I
didnt do so. For their first day of guided math, it went as well as it could have, but there were still areas that
I would want to improve on.
