Working in inclusion center for children with pragmatic language and executive function deficits most of
who have high functioning autism. All students are included to their highest ability. I am modifying and

Special Education Paraprofessional, Henry World Middle School, DPS, 2014.
Working in a Affective Needs classroom I provide behavioral and emotional support for students. I also
have conducted functional behavioral analysis formally and in the moment, created engaging lesson
plans and social games, held children to expectations so that they could meet their goals, and worked in
a high stress environments.
Working in a center classroom for children with autism, I create differentiated lessons for a variety of learners and
levels. I implement and scaffold academic instruction, social skills and behavioral interventions.
In an all inclusive classroom, I assisted with music, speech, occupational and physical therapy
interventions to address developmentally appropriate social, cognitive and academic skills.
I created a six week program to help increase social skills, group involvement and physical activity as well as insure
a comfortable and enjoyable environment for individuals with autism. During the program I worked one-on-one with
children to reach specific goals. Additionally, I held the water safety instructor, lifeguard and child attendant positions
during my employment at the YMCA.
