Hook/Attention Grabber: What do we strike? (understand application of lesson) What are the health benefits of striking?
Assessment of Prior Knowledge: Go over 3 types of sending, keys of throwing and keys of kicking from previous lessons
Agenda: Introduction, Warm up, Explanation and demonstration, Practice, Assessment, Game, Closure
Transition to Body: With you partner if I tell you to strike the objects back and forth, show me what that means to you? (as many
different ways as possible, open hand and closed hand)

Learning Activity #1: Explanation and Demonstration
We will be working on 4 types of striking today, right handed overhand, left handed overhand, right handed underhand, left handed underhand.
Demonstrate each one with key points verbalized.open hand only today.opposite hand opposite foot..point and follow through
Learning Activity #2: Practice
With a partner practice each striking technique back and forth (ROH, LOH, RUH, LUH). Try with beach volleyball and balloon. Key Points : open
hand only today.opposite hand opposite foot..point and follow through
Learning Activity #3:Assessment
Groups of 2 A &B. A strikes the balloon there and back (over hand), B repeats, A strikes the beach volleyball there and back (overhand), B repeats, A
strikes the balloon there and back (underhand), B repeats, A strikes the beach volleyball there and back (underhand), B repeats. Repeat from A
overhand there and back until stop. TEACHING POINTS: partner must encourage each other, not about speed, about proper form KEYS: open hand

GAME: Gaga Ball: in an enclosed space (the pit), soft foam ball thrown up in the air, after third bounce game begins. WITH AN OPEN HAND hit the
ball at other people in the pit. Youre out if: ball hits you below the waist, you hit the ball out of the pit, you hit the ball twice in a row (without
someone else touching it or it touching a wall), you use a closed fist, you step out of the pit
