Group Reflection
Our trip to Pilsen gave us some new insights. It showed us that there
are some interesting places to visit outside of the main city downtown.
A lot of the time people don't tend to explore parts beside the main city,
so it was a fun thing to do. It sparked curiosity in all of us to see what
else is out there. We would all like to go to some new neighborhoods
and see what they really have to offer. Our opinion of the Second City
is changed by the level of diversity there is. It really opened our eyes to
how different it is than the downtown area. We would say that it is not
an authentic Chicago experience. Pilsen is definitely not what comes to
mind when we think of the city. When we think of the city and an
authentic experience we think of Michigan Ave., along with all of the
museums and parks. Pilsen is quite different from that view.
