Personal Profile

I am currently pursuing a career in the captive animal care field given my great
interest in the health and wellbeing of exotic and domestic animals alike. Courses
I have taken focus on the biological sciences, husbandry and management of wild
animals, and aim to develop educational and interpretive techniques.

Zoo Hospital Intern (Summer 2015)
Practiced proper handling and restraint methods of various zoo and rehab animals
for routine examination or treatment.
Daily husbandry and diet prep for in-hospital patients including Wolf Guenons,
African Great White Pelicans, Water Dragons, song birds, and small raptors.
Daily enrichment for the primates such as puzzle feeders, novel items, and new
furniture.
Helped in the collection of feces, blood, and urine for analysis, developed x-rays
of collection and rehab animals, and administered medications on daily basis to
in-hospital patients.

Barn Crew Work Study Position (January May 2015)
Clean, fed, maintained enclosures for heritage breeds of livestock in the college
educational barn; including American Guinea hogs, Katahtin sheep, San Clemente
Island goats, and Silver Fox rabbits.

use of operant conditioning.
