But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must b

elieve that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. (
Heb 11:6 NKJ)
Believe that He is….what? When you study the meaning of “He is” it is simply imp
lying a present tense meaning representing a simple statement of fact or reality
viewed as occurring in actual time. This scripture is saying that when we appro
ach God then we must believe He is literally present. Why is this so hard? Scrip
ture says: “… for He [God] Himself has said, I will not in any way fail you nor
give you up nor leave you without support. [I will] not, [I will] not, [I will]
not in any degree leave you helpless nor forsake nor let [you] down (relax My ho
ld on you)! [Assuredly not!]” (Hebrews 13:5) Yet in the hard times we say to God
“Are You there? Can You here me?” In those times we must use our faith (a convi
ction that God exists and is the creator and ruler of all things) and sit in His
presence. Sometimes at dinner with my family we just sit and eat without conver
sation. We know we don’t always have to talk to each other to enjoy each other.
We know we love each other. We know we care for each other. We know we have othe
r things to do but they will have to wait until we are done with our time togeth
er. This is how it should be with our God. I challenge you today to get in a qui
et place before our God and simply believe He is there with you. Quietly tell Hi
m you love Him, just because. Take assurance that He loves you and enjoy each ot
her. It will change your life.
