Reflection
Hey Bre!
So for our Analytical Report, we chose to do our project on UNM and how it deals with
Marijuana. Throughout this Reflection I will not only be discussing how we did our Analytical
Report but also be discussing the Student Learning Outcomes I think I have improved on while
doing this assignment, and also just how I have improved on them so far into the semester. So far
into the semester and while doing this assignment I think I have worked on Student Learning
Outcomes, Present Information, Compose Information, and Find and Evaluate
Information.
For our Analytical Report since we chose to do our project on UNM we created a survey
with various question to find out how people look at, and think about weed at UNM. Once the
survey was created, all three of us spent a good majority spreading the survey to various friends
throughout UNM to get a wide range of different results for our Analytical Report. Once we did
that we broke off what was needed to be done for this Analytical Report amongst the three of us.
I was given to work on the discussion and find the four peer reviewed articles that will help with
our discussion and overall assignment. I was also given the conclusion which I believe coincides
with the discussion.

The first Student Learning Outcome I will be discussing in this reflection is Present
Information. This Student Learning Outcome to me is simply exactly what is needed for this
presentation. This Student Learning Outcome as described in the Syllabus is defined as being
able to incorporate visual elements to improve the readers understanding. In this case it is more
for our audience to help grasp our topic and our findings on said topic.
The second Student Learning Outcome that I will be discussing is Compose
Information. This Student Learning Outcome to me is defined as being able to take various
findings and placing them in a way that we (the students) find good for the reader/audience. We
used this Student Learning Outcome by doing as said in my definition of this Student Learning
Outcome, we found various things on our topic and are placing or composing them into a
presentation that we will be presenting to the class.
The third Student Learning Outcome that I will be discussing is Find and Evaluate
Information. This Student Learning Outcome to me is being able to find information, such as
credible articles and readings that are related to whatever the assignment is that we are doing and
using said information in a well thought out manner to make out topic/discussion better for the
reader/audience. We used this Student Learning Outcome in this assignment by finding four peer
reviewed articles and incorporation them into our presentation.
While doing this Analytical Report I think I have done a fairly well job at doing my part
regarding the group work, I hope/plan not to let my peers down while presenting and think this
assignment was the one I enjoyed the most doing due to the group work and being able to have
my peers to help me on certain situations I may have gotten stuck on while doing this
assignment. Throughout this Analytical Report I think I improved on the three Student Learning

Outcomes I described and I plan to further my knowledge/progress and use of all these Student
Learning Outcomes even after this semester raps up.
