Course Description
The Project-Based Learning (PBL) is an intensive hands-on opportunity for
science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) educators to explore practical
ways to use Project-based Learning and technology to enrich their curricula and
engage students.

Course Goals
During this professional development workshop, you will use several technology
tools, such as the SMART Board, 3D printing, and the Internet. You will learn how
to create items from the 3D printer for fundraising ideas for future classroom
projects.
You will build your understanding of the following concepts:
What is Project-Based Learning and what does it look like in the
classroom?
How can I design and implement authentic PBL in my classroom to foster
authentic learning?
How can I evaluate and assess PBL in my classroom to help my students
create authentic project learning experiences?
How can I use Inquiry-Based Learning and integrate SMART technology
into my classroom?
How can I incorporate STEM into my PBL in my classroom?
How can I develop PBL lesson plans using multimedia and emerging
technology in my classroom?
How to incorporate SAMR and SMART Technology into my lesson plans?

Course Design
This workshop is a profession development opportunity for educators to learn new
technology and how to incorporate that technology into their lesson plans. Student
will learn how to use the SMART Board, 3D printers, and Internet to create
exciting lesson plans and presentations for their classroom.

Target Audience
This workshop is design for teachers, administrators, and technical staff of grades
Pre- K-12.

Standards
This professional development addresses the following standards:
ISTE Digital Age Teaching Standards
Common Core State Standards for DoDEA

Schedule
This course is design for an estimated 5 days of training for an approximately one
week to complete. Sessions will run from 9:30am-14:30p.m. (Members may break
