Research Question
What are the benefits of adopting a child from China?
Topic Proposal: I will be researching about the benefits of an American adopting a
child from China. I want to find out how it will benefit the child and the new family. I
want to know if the children are better off in America or China, because they grew
up knowing their native language and families and then Americans adopt them and
strip them from their native homes and language. I want to know if that is a benefit
or not. I have always had an interest in working in child welfare and either being
social worker or an adoption agent or even work in a rehabilitation center. I do not
have much knowledge on adoption from China and I cannot even begin to guess on
what the benefits are for adopting a child from China would be. Everyone says they
want to live the American Dream and that America is the best country in the world
but that is not true in all cases. These children from China may think their country is
the best and may not want to leave but, be forced out of their country because they
are being adopted. I just want to get educated on how and why Americans adopt
from china and how it benefits both the child and the new family.
Introduction: Introduce research question. List off a couple benefits that can flow
into another paragraph to separate the benefits and write a paragraph on each
benefit. Could also explain where most children come from in china, such as foster
care or orphanages because most children benefit from American families who get
those children out of orphanages.

China and bringing them into America.

Conclusion: Restate research question as a statement. List off some benefits of

adopting children in China. Briefly explain where kids come from and why it is good
to get them out of China and into America.
