School-Parent Compact
2015-2016
Plan Revised: July 28, 2015
This Title I School-Parent Compact outlines how the Loganville Elementary School staff, students, and parents/guardians
will share the responsibility for improving student academic achievement. The school strives to build and develop a
partnership with parents/guardians that will help the students achieve the states high academic standards, and this
compact describes how the school and parents/guardians will build and develop this partnership.
To understand how working together can benefit your child, it is important to understand and become familiar with the
student achievement goals of our school and district.
Walton County School Districts Goals:
The Title I goals of the Walton County School District (WCSD) are:
to meet or exceed projected student performance on the new English Language Arts Georgia Milestones
Assessment for 2015 (which includes Reading, Language Arts, and Writing) for 2015 (for this baseline year, the
projected meets/exceeds rate is 57%); and
to meet or exceed projected student performance on the new Math Georgia Milestones Assessment for 2015 (for
this baseline year, the projected meets/exceeds rate is 53%).
Loganville Elementary Schools Goals:
The Title I goals of Loganville Elementary School (LES) are:
to meet or exceed projected student performance on the new English Language Arts Georgia Milestones
Assessment for 2015 (which includes Reading, Language Arts, and Writing) for 2015 (for this baseline year, the
projected meets/exceeds rate is 57%);
to meet or exceed projected student performance on the new Math Georgia Milestones Assessment for 2015 (for
this baseline year, the projected meets/exceeds rate is 53%);
ninety-eight percent of students will increase their math fluency. This will be measured from pre-test to post-test;
and
ninety-eight percent of students will raise their Accelerated Reading level .7. This will be measured with the
STAR test. Additionally, this will show growth in student Lexile score.
To help your child meet the district and school goals, the school, we will work together according to the responsibilities
that follow. These are based on the School Improvement Plan.
School Responsibilities:
Loganville Elementary school will:
1. Provide high quality curriculum and instruction in a supportive and effective learning environment that enables
the children to meet the states student academic achievement standards by:
providing instruction from highly qualified teachers;
providing a schedule that maximizes instructional time;
providing instruction based on the Georgia Standards of Excellence (GSE) and Georgia Performance
Standards (GPS);
using best practices/research based instructional strategies (including Learning Focused Schools
instructional strategies); and
providing professional development/learning in identified areas to staff.

2. Offer information that pertains to student achievement in relation to this compact. This information may be
provided through:
parent-teacher conferences and meetings;
meetings (RTI, IEP, POI, Section 504, Gifted Program) that take place during the school day that address
their childs individual achievement; and
school-level meetings (Open House, Title I Annual Meeting, Curriculum Nights(s), School Council
meetings, Title I Planning meetings, school and PTO programs and activities).
3. Provide parents/guardians with reports on their childs progress through methods such as quarterly report cards,
quarterly progress reports, and yearly standardized testing results.
4. Provide parents/guardians with access to the school staff during the school day through Parent Achievement
Guide for Every Student (PAGES) handbook/agenda, notes, phone calls, emails, conferences, and meetings.
5. Inform parents/guardians of events taking place at the school through PAGES handbook, written notification
(notices, flyers, letters), callout phone system, websites, newsletters, information sent home, posting information,
making information available for parental review.
6. Provide parents/guardians opportunities to volunteer at their childs school, participate in or observe activities in
their childs classroom and/or with their childs class and to be involved in their childs school by being a member
of the school PTO, attending school and PTO activities, serving on school and/or school district committees,
participating in meeting and conferences, attending informational meetings, providing input, and completing
surveys. Notify all parents/guardians who are interested in volunteering of the requirements they must meet on
yearly basis, including taking part in training and a background check.
Parent/Guardian Responsibilities:
I, as a parent/guardian, will:
1. make sure that my child attends school regularly and participates in support services as needed;
2. read and respond to communication from my childs teacher and/or the school;
3. complete and return all requested forms, including surveys;
4. take part in parent-teacher conferences and meetings;
5. ensure that my child completes all homework (including reading and math fact practice);
6. ensure that my child studies when needed;
7. ensure that my child reads daily to increase vocabulary, improve comprehension and increase reading Lexile
score; and
8. ensure that my child is prepared for learning by being well rested and nourished, attends school regularly, is on
time to school, and making sure that my childs health needs are met.
Student Responsibilities:
I will:
1. come to school on time, prepared, and ready to learn;
2. give my parent/guardian all communication from the school and return all communication that needs to be
returned;
3. complete all assignments and homework to the best of my ability and turn them in on time;
4. study when needed;
5. do my best of all tests and assessments; and
6. follow the Code of Conduct and all school rules in order to support the learning environment for myself and other
students.
