Pre-planning considerations
Topic analysis
Using my degree in digital art, I hope to show students how to effectively use a wacom tablet and create a portrait easily with a simple step by
step process.
Students will learn how to use the brushes and the different layering systems in tangent with other systems in project based learning.
Each student will have the capacity to work with their own face or another face.
The most effective strategy in the photoshop area is showing students how to create patches of colour with the dropper tool.

Learner considerations
One of the learners in the class has learning difficulties however his portrait could be quite abstract. I will comment and give him compliments on
this rather than normal comments.

Learner prior knowledge

The students probably know how to use the tablets.

Literacy considerations
The students are to listen and to follow instruction.

Organisation and management

Seating
Students will be seated in their chairs in a U shaped classroom.

Timing
The lesson will take two doubles to complete with two different photocopies.
Behaviour
Students will be brought back onto task with quiet encouragement.

Safety and risk assessment

the risk factors are only if the students leave the class, unlikely.

Resources and equipment

Physical resources
Computers, photoshop, WACOM tablets.

Human resources (Teaching Assistants, parents or specialists)

Teacher assisting in technical and behavioural management.

Outcomes
Context of lesson

Also keep an eye on the time. Sometimes if

something is really going well but is taking
longer than expected keep going but consider
the rest of the lesson/ day. Also working out
when to change the pace of a lesson slow
down/speed up based on your immediate
assessment of student learning. Note reasons
for it in the evaluation of your lesson.

Self Evaluation
Students worked well and the lesson was a success and well worth the time and effort involved in explaining the intricacies of the project.
One student kept on going off task after arriving late. I managed to put out his fire a couple of times.
