Lab Work Objectives: At the end of the course, student must be able to
Describe concept and techniques used in the area of computer networks.
Identify network cables and provide connections with network devices using Cisco
packet tracer software.
Demonstrate the network command used in Cisco packet tracer software.
Interpret the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway in a routed network using
software.
Design topologies and connect with no. of devices in local area network using software.
Design wireless network infrastructure for company using software.
Participate in development and quality improvement programs for networking in the
broadest context of technological change.

Lab Work Outcomes: After the completion of course student must be able to
i. Describe importance of computer network in any organization,
ii. identify main internal PC components and connections.
iii. experimentally distinguish type of cables and devices based on requirement.
iv. Compile network command and build network for packet data transmission.
v. analyze, specify and design the topological and routing strategies for an IP based
networking infrastructure using Cisco packet tracer software.
vi. To practically build wired and wireless infrastructure in college campus.
vii. To practice principles and functions of management along with financial planning and
management of projects
viii. To specify and identify deficiencies in existing protocols, and then go onto formulate
new and better protocol.
