‘Thank you for your interest in the Part-time Church Secretary position currently being advertised
here at Druid Hills United Methodist Church. We are pleased to learn of your interest and want
to help you fully understand our recruiting process. We are happy to provide you copies of the
current job description for this position along with an application, our recruiting flyer and a basic
fact sheet for this position. This process begins once you have submitted the required application
and supporting documentation to our church office. Your cover letter should be addressed to the
Search Committee. The recruitment is open therefore we are seeking completed applications
immediately. The position will remain open until filed however an initial review of
applications will begin on December 7, 2015. Applications can be presented in person to the
church office or scanned and emailed to druidhillsocala@\gmail,com.
The following documents must be submitted together as a single, complete package in order for
us to further consider you as an eligible applicant:
1. A completed and signed job application with signed release for background checks.
2. A formal cover letter
3. A current resume’ with a minimum of 3 references, 2 of which should be from current or
previous employers/supervisors.
During this process, the selection committee will determine the most qualified candidates for the
position. An interview will be scheduled for the most qualified candidates. We will make a final
decision and job offer once interviews and the selection process is completed.
This is a competitive process and will include an assessment of an applicant’s administrative
knowledge, skills, abilities, experience and potential to fit well within our church office. The
process includes conducting reference checks, criminal background checks and a credit check.
