MACARTHUR HOUSING PROJECT WITH A NET DEVELOPABLE AREA OF 5.3 HECTARES, MORE OR LESS, SITUATED AT SITIO PALANAS, BRGY. VIGAN, THIS MUNICIPALITY, INTENDED FOR THE WASH OUT FAMILIES WHO WERE VICTIMS OF SUPER TYPHOON “YOLANDA” AND THOSE LIVING IN THE FORTY (40) METERS DANGER ZONE AREA (Sponsor: Hon. Jerry C. Sumiguin) WHEREAS, J.C. Tayag Builders, Inc. requested for a Sangguniang Bayan resolution in support of the approval of the Subdivision Development Plan of Gen. MacArthur Housing Project with a net developable area of 5.3 hectares, more or less, situated at Sitio Palanas, Brgy. Vigan, this municipality, intended for the wash out families who were victims of Super Typhoon “Yolanda” and those living in the forty (40) meters danger zone area; WHEREAS, the LGU is on the process of updating its Comprehensive Land Use Plan (CLUP) with the aforementioned area applied for housing project to be reclassified from agricultural to residential considering that itis a safe place for relocation; WHEREAS, on the part of the barangay who has jurisdiction over the proposed project, the Punong Barangay together with the barangay council has issued a certification expressing no objection to the proposal of the National Housing Authority (NHA) for construction of housing units for the victims of. Super Typhoon “Yolanda”; WHEREAS, this August Body believes that this project would answer the call of the affected families for a government initiated housing project, WHEREFORE, on motion of Hon. Rogelio A. Ida, seconded by Hon. Elvira A. Navidad, Hon. Emerita R. Go, Hon. Celia C. Thong and Hon. Crisanta C. Dagale, be it: “RESOLVE, AS IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED, to adopt this SB resolution granting preliminary approval of the Gen. MacArthur Housing Project with a net developable area of §.3 hectares, more or less, situated at Sitio Palanas, Brgy. MACARTHUR HOUSING PROJECT; PRELIMINARY APPROVAL) within the 40 meters no build zone area subject to the conditions herein stipulated: 1. That the Office of the Municipal Mayor shall formulate the corresponding rules and regulations that will define the parameters in the selection of beneficiaries, to be concurred by the Sangguniang Bayan; 2. That the committee for the selection of the beneficiaries shall be formed by the Municipal Mayor and shall include as its members, among others, the following: a) Four (4) SB Members (2 from the majority party and 2 from the minority party; b) Punong Barangay/s where the affected families and/or prospective beneficiaries reside; 3. That any and/or all documents (Memorandum of Agreement and/or Contract/s, etc.) relative to this project shall be presented to the Sangguniang Bayan for its review and concurrence. RESOLVED FURTHER, that copies of this resolution be furnished the National Housing Authority, J.C.
