The article explains how we can teachthinkingskillsinsciencecontent. Whenreadingthis

sentence in the intro of the text, a feeling of
concern has gripped in me. It has made me
wonder how I will teach children in the future to thinkbythemselvesandithasbeenhardto
find an answer to that. In fact, for me it seems a difficult andabstractthingtodoandIdont

In the part of theory into policy, the author mentions that nowadays Education systems are
focused on developing those childrens skills consideredessentialfortheeconomy.Sadly,it
is true that governments see children as the future people in charge of the economy. They
only think about the money to develop the states economy instead of focusing on other
important aspects such as teaching thinking skills, creative thinking or problem solving. Itis

On the other hand, when the author talks about the NI curriculum research whichhas been
carried out in the USA Ive felt very
interested and
hopeful about it. Itisexplainedthat the
TSPC framework draws attention to the process of learning and not just the product and
focuses on the understanding in deep the topics rather than making students recall
information. I personally believe that this principle should be applied to all schools and

The fact that researches have considered

Also, this has reminded me when I went to observe an English lessoninmyprimaryschool

only because it promotes teamwork but also because teachers share responsibilities and
these aspects lead to an improvement on the students performances. In my case, both

A consequence of the skillsbased revised NI curriculum was that statutory subjectcontent

was reduced.
I must say that after reading this sentence Ive felt
relieved
. I think that it is
high time that governments reduce subject contents because sometimes students are
overexploited and seen as machines. Students should not feel stressed due toschool, they
shouldenjoyit.
