In this unit, students will unravel the mysteries of Ancient Egypt through technology based
research and will apply their findings in various ways. They will compare and contrast
heirogplyphics to English, discover the truth behind mummies, and

Resource Student

Repeated directions, individual assistance, and shortened


assignments will be given to those with academic needs.
Behavioral issues will be modified with preferential seating
and working in smaller groups if necessary.

Non-Native English
Speaker

Non-native speakers will be given individual assistance from


teacher, will work with shoulder partners, and will draw
pictures for more explicit communication in their assignments.
(This unit will be ideal for non-native speakers, as many
pictoral elements are included).

Gifted Student

Early finishers will work on Kid Pix. They will also be given
the opportunity to create their own comparative math
problems. Each lesson plan has built-in differentiation, as
students work at their own paces and can tailor the difficulty
and depth of their questions and comparisons.

Student Assessment
