This source was published on April 2, 2015. Although the article was posted
by ProCon.org, there is no specific author listed. Rather, there are multiple
authors listed and opinions from each are given. This article is recent and
contains many relevant and up-to-date facts concerning my research topic.
The target audience for this source would be the general public because it
provides awareness on the immigration issue. It offers valuable information
because it gives both sides of the question. Although this source offers many
valuable facts, it does not have any information pertaining to the authors
who have given their input. Because of this, I would be cautious when using
this source for my research.
Jenks, J., & Lauck, W. (1926). The immigration problem; a study of American
immigration
conditions and needs, (6th ed.). New York: Funk & Wagnalls.

The Immigration Problem was published in 1926. Since then it has been
revised at least once. Although this source is old, it contains very valuable
and historic data regarding immigration. It not only covers the number of
immigrants, but where they come from, why they come, and how they come
to the United States. This book goes into the mind of the immigrant and
discovers the causes and facts about immigration. The only problem with this
source is its age. It was published over half a century ago. Immigration is
something that is constantly changing, and because of this, new sources and
research is constantly being published. I require fairly recent sources for my
research, and because of this I probably will not use this source in my paper.
However, this book has given me great insight in regards to immigration and
the mind of the immigrant.
