STANDARD:
Allvendorsnumbersshouldbesix(6)digitsinlength.Thefirstfourdigitswillbebasedonthevendornameandthelast
twodigitswillbenumericstartingwith"01"forthefirstvendorusingthosefourdigits,"02"forthenextvendor,etc.
EXCEPTIONS:
1)

ThefirstfourdigitsforindividualsshouldbebasedontheirlastnamenottheirfirstUNLESSthenameispartofthe
companyname.

2)

Thelasttwodigitscanbeusedtoassistinensuringthatinvoicesareenteredusingthecorrectvendorwherethere
aremultiplevendorswiththesamenamebutdifferentmailingaddressesorwhereitisdesirabletosetupmultiple
vendorsforthesamebusinessasaseparatecheckneedstobeprintedforeachaccountthatisbeingusedwiththat
vendor.Inthiscasethelasttwodigitscouldbea)thePOBox,b)thelasttwodigitsoftheAccountnumber,etc.
