1. Topic: My presentation is on the weather and the seasons. This presentation is for
elementary school students. The presentation includes all four seasons and the weather
and some activities that take place during that period. There are different pictures that
create a visual for the students. The lesson would take place in Ms. Coppolas
Kindergarten class. The students will use this to help them better understand the seasons.
This is also important because the children will be able to know what they have to look
forward to in the upcoming season!

2. The Audience: The multimedia presentation is for my Kindergarten class. The classroom
is set in Toms River, New Jersey in a suburban area. All fifteen of the children are
between the ages of four and five. They children are about 60% Caucasian and 40%
ethnic. There are three children with visual impairments whether it be glasses, or partial
blindness. They are accommodated with seating in the very front row and I make sure all
text is big and dark enough for them to read.

3. Objectives: After viewing the lesson, students will be able to

Match seasons with the weather that takes place during that time.
o This objective is met on slide 7 where the students will be called up to the
board to interact with their presentation.
Identify different activities that take place during each season.
o This objective is met on slides 2-5 where I will ask students to give me
additional activities that they do during the season.
Identify what their favorite season and draw a picture of what that season looks
like in their own environment.
o This objective is met on slide 8 where the homework is presented.

4. Concept Map:

5. Resource Media: I have one video in my presentation. It is shown on slide 6 following

the content slides. It is a song that goes over the seasons and asks the students to identify
the season that is being shown in the song.
6. ISTE Standards: The ISTE standard I used in my presentation was #1 Facilitate and
Inspire Student Learning and Creativity. The seasons are a very important topic for
children to understand. In my presentation I hope to inspire creativity by giving the
children multiples of visuals to grasp what each season is about, so when they go home
for their follow up activity they can successfully draw a picture of what their house looks
like during their favorite season.
7. Follow Up Activities:
Students will be asked to tell me all four of the seasons as a class.
Students will be asked to draw a picture of what their house looks like on the outside
during their favorite season.
Students will have a short quiz at the end of the week regarding the four seasons.
