Discourse community map response

Communication is the reciprocal share of thoughts and emotions

from one person to another. It is the foundation of all interaction, whether
is verbal or written, the goal stay particularly the same in every case,
which is to deliver a message. Still, this two types of communication are
very different, written communication lacks of a hearable tone, making it
very difficult to recognize emotions or to tell the authors voice, therefore
remarking the importance of expressing our emotions and ideas in a
vividly way though, its like giving life to unanimated written words.
We as humans, like to interact, we like to create circles, social circles
specifically, in which we gather and share personal issues, stories, and
news. However not every social circle has the same approach, it varies
depending of the context and the people in it. Communication can be as
informal as a friend text message, and as formal as a community response
for English 1, the importance lays in knowing how to act according to each
groups values. In that matter, different ways of behavior must be applied
depending of the situation. Not only Vocabulary, grammar and language
changes across the different social backgrounds, but our personal
essence. It goes distinct directions, in search for the proper material to
expose to an audience whose critical intensity may state the level of
emotion needed to catch their attention.
If Im spending time with my family, I tend to keep it clean and
simple, for example, we often gather around the table and share our daily

routines during dinner, where we talk about school, work and some
important events that had happened. I consider my family to have strong
bonds within each member which enriches the interaction process at my
house. Yet the diversity of spoken languages at my house splits us in two,
English vs. Espanol. My older relatives rather speak Spanish whereas the
younger generations pick English as their favorite dialect. It is a great tool
if want to build a strong family bond a but at the same time but we often
struggle to efficiently break the language barrier when my grandma
doesnt understand my text or when my mom uses phrases in Spanish
that I didnt even knew existed.
When Im at work, my mind shift from a relaxed funny tone, to a
more rigid, strict one. I mostly interact with customers, which implies for
me to keep a professional attitude in every situation, while Im receiving
orders, creating lists of inventory and sending written responses to my
superiors. In contrast, my co-workers and I pretend that we are at a given
classroom chatting and acting like we are at school, due to the fact that
most of us are active UTEP students or speak Spanish as their first
language just like with my friends.
With my friends, I keep it cool, I try to bring interesting fresh topics
to discuss in an original way taking every aspect in consideration. In their
company I rarely act formal since there is no one that I have to impress
with a fancy vocabulary, I make my point across as easy and breve as
possible.

Finally we can conclude that our necessity to share is the fuel that
ignites our interaction. We then get linked by dialogue which moves
across particular environments, either formal or informal, written or
spoken, English or Spanish in order to keep focus on the message, after
all, it is the only thing that matters, because a message without an
effective delivery becomes empty under an uninterested listener.
