MDD 2, 3, 4: DESIGN FOR INSTRUCTION, LEARNING GOALS,

ASSESSMENT
MDD Standards
1. Lesson 1 Topic:
1.2 Lesson 1 Learning Goals: By the end of the lesson SWBAT to
describe how do their offices look like in written and oral form
1.2.1 Alignment of Learning Goals to School and National
Curriculum: As a technical High school, the english class has no
alignment for the national curriculum
1.2.2 Justification: as the students are working as secretaries it is
important for them to know how to describe their places and
develop it in the oral form as at their works they have to
communicate to people.
1.3 Analysis of Pre-Assessment Data: students know about
prepositions and adjective, which are suppoused to help students to develop
this class with no complications.
1.4 Learning Resources: Ppt , Data, Pc, Worksheets
1.5 Assessments
Below, describe the method/s to check on student progress. Consider these
approaches:
Performance-based assessment, e.g. Reading out loud, describing. With a
checklist.
1.5.1 Describe how you will promote your students reflection and selfassessment.
1.6 Motivation for learning: As the class is contextualizing to the
students reality, they will know that the class will be useful for
them in their future. They will know that it might help them to
develop themselves and also to be prepared for any situation which
might require of the english language.
1.7 Activities:
What will students do?
Warm up: T ask SS about their practices (where do they go, likes) (10 min)
Presentation: T presents the voc. ( PPT) (15 min)
Practice: Ss will complete sentences using office vocabulary. (30 min)

Production: SS will create a map of their offices and they will present it in
front of the class. ((40 min)

2. Lesson 2 Topic:
2.1.1 Lesson 1 Learning Goals: By the end of the lesson SWBAT
differentiate types of duties at their practices
2.1.2 Alignment of Learning Goals to School and National
Curriculum:
As a technical High school, the english class has no alignment
for the national curriculum
2.1.3 Justification: as the students are working as secretaries it is
important for them to know how to describe their places and
develop it in the oral form as at their works they have to
communicate to people.

Analysis of Pre-Assessment Data: Students might have
knowledge of some verbs which might be helpful for differentiate
their duties.
Learning Resources: Ppt, Data, Pc, Can You Worksheets, Ss Contract

2.5 Motivation for learning: As the class is contextualizing to the

2.6 Activities:

Warm up: review of the previous class.

Presentation: T Will introduce modal verbs in a PPT.


Practice: Ss will ask/answer questions Can you? Around the class
Production: Ss will create a contract with the T with what they can/must/
should do in the class in groups

After each session (class or tutoring), write in your journal a reflection that
addresses the following questions:

What knowledge, skills and/or dispositions are needed to help a


student learn? What are you learning about what it means to
be a teacher?

Based on the implementation of your plan or your interactions with the


students, what do you think you need to improve, do differently or maintain
for the next session?
