The plan should guide the LEAs use of education technology for the next three
years.

This article shows the importance of technology in schools and evaluates
the effectiveness of technology as an instructional tool both for educators
and students.
Teachers and administrators to coordinate with other schools to exchange
information to provide better technology planning.
CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.
The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology and current use of


digital tools.
1. What technology is currently available to all teachers?
All teachers have computers with High-Speed Broadband Internet Access.
Projectors, smart boards, document cameras are available for all classrooms.
Computer library has computers for students use. Projectors, smart boards,
computers, and other technology material are available for all teachers.
Computers can also be used for students to do their researches for their
assignments.
2. How does technology assist teachers and principals with their
administrative tasks, attendance and grading?
School uses iStation, Waterford, Envison Math, Read 180, Achieve 3000,
Edgenuity for credit recovery and many other computer aided instruction
software for the students. These softwares help teachers to provide better
teaching techniques for teachers.

Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current use of


digital tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices, and/or
replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all students.
1. Is technology currently available to all students?
All technology equipment are available for all students. Teacher/instructor to
computer ratio is 1:1 while the student ratio is 3:1 and computer lab is available
for students to use during school hours by logging in with their own user ID and
password. Projectors and smart boards are being used for every class. Students
can use these technology tools as they need.
2. What replacement cycle has been built into the plan; and what
funding is needed to support the replacement policy?
Computers are renewed in every 3 years. Most computers are donated by
technology providers.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for using
technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these goals align to
the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans. Describe how the
LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether future funding
proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful implementation.
1. How will technology be used to create more powerful learning
experiences to improve student academic achievement?
By having access to internet, students will be able to find course related
documents and educational websites to enhance their learning process. Students
will be able to use some applications that provides test questions for their class
material.
2. How will technology be used to help students demonstrate college
and career readiness, improve CAASPP scores, and meet
achievement targets?
Having internet access will provide more opportunities for students to understand
the needs and help students demonstrate college and career readiness, improve
CAASPP scores by reaching example questions. Practice questions, examples
and educational videos can be accessed through internet.
Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, to address
Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the
classroom.
1. How are students using online communication technologies,
including but not limited to social networking and instant
messaging?
Every student will be given a school email address from school domain. Students
are only allowed to use the instant messaging tool that is available within the
school and they can communicate with other students only. The other social

networking webistes are blocked and they are not available for students to use.
2. How will teachers be trained to deliver Internet safety and ethical use
content?
In the first week of every semester, teachers will be provided training about how
to use internet safely. These trainings will include internet safety, ethical content,
and appropriate usage of some resources.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT
The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services

Summary of the teachers' and administrators' current technology proficiency and


integration skills and needs for professional development.
1. Are administrators able to support teachers with the integration of

technology into daily curriculum?


Administrators are professional in their fields and they can provide assistance for
teachers with the integration of technology into daily curriculum.
2. After collecting and analyzing professional development needs, what are
the local, regional, and online professional development opportunities to meet
identified needs?
Based on the surveys given to the teachers and administrators their needs will be
evaluated. According to the results, they will be encouraged to take online or in-person
courses for their professional developments.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for providing
professional development opportunities based on your LEA needs assessment
data and the Curriculum Component of the plan.
1. How will teachers and administrators be trained and provided ongoing support in the effective integration of technology into the
curriculum?
Teachers and administrators will be provided trainings for professional for their
development hours. These trainings will include new softwares and online
security tips for teachers and administrators. School IT department can also
assist teachers for any additional request.
2. What professional learning will be available so teachers and
administrators can effectively use technology to assist with student
assessment?
Teachers are trained to use applicable softwares that can be used for student
assessments. These trainings will be provided to teachers with professional
development hour sessions. Teachers can also request additional support from
schools IT department.

INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND


ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT CRITERIA
The Plan must include an assessment of the telecommunication services,
hardware, software, asset management, and other services that will be needed to
improve education services.

Describe the existing hardware, Internet access, electronic learning resources,


technical support, and asset management already in the LEA that will be used to
support the Curriculum and Professional Development Components of the plan.
1. What technologies are available to facilitate home/school
communication such as email, web pages, and voice mail?
School has a website and a portal that students can log in to communicate with
their teachers and classmates. This portal also includes announcements and
relevant information for upcoming events. Students also receive newsletter
emails every month.
2. What technology access do parents have at home? What
technologies do parents prefer for home/school communication?
Parents are provided a password so they can access the portal which includes
student grades, and upcoming events. Also, parents receive monthly newsletter.
Telephone numbers of parents are collected to create a database. Parents
receive phone calls or voice messages regarding to important notices about
school and their students.
Describe the technology hardware, electronic learning resources, networking and
telecommunications infrastructure, physical plant modifications, technical
support, and asset management needed by the LEA's teachers, students, and
administrators to support the activities in the Curriculum and Professional
Development components of the plan.
1. Can existing equipment be modified to meet certain needs identified
in the plan?
The computer that does not support Windows 7 and Office 2013 needs to be
replaced or upgraded. The projectors in classrooms needs to be checked and
maintained regularly.
2. Will students and teachers be able to access their work from any
location in the school or from home?
Students can access their portal from any computer that has internet access by
visiting this following website: https://portal.office.com/Home . This portal will
allow them to access their emails, grades, or relevant announcements about
class material.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION COMPONENT


The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the school to monitor
progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in response
to new developments and opportunities as they arise.

Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress and impact on
teaching and learning.
1. Who will participate in the monitoring and evaluation process?
School administrators will be the main person who monitors this process and
they will communicate with parents for evaluation process.
2. What criteria will be used to measure success (e.g., test scores,
student portfolios, percentage of students attaining grade-level
content standards, attendance, dropout rate, matriculation to
college, or full-time employment)?
Students test scores will be the most important element to measure success.
Their attendance rate and dropour rate are also considered. Besides, in order to
get feedback from parents, evaluation surveys will be used.
Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation, including
a description of the process and frequency of communicating evaluation results
to tech plan stakeholders.
1. How often will data be collected and summarized? Who is
responsible?
School principal with the help of other administrators will collect the data by end
of every semester.
2. How will teachers, parents, and other stakeholders provide
suggestions and opinions in the evaluation process?
Suggestions and opinions of all the stakeholders will be collected by online
surveys which will be provided by end of every semester.
