Opening (warmer activity + teacher introduction/demonstration of small group activities)

Get the students to a short competition. And this competition is about reviewing the previous lesson
(five questions on the board). First, they should write the numbers in the right place, and then read
the numbers.
Then, I will show students the blocks (for tens, ones, hundreds, and thousands), and ask to give me
the name of each block.
Guided Experience (group working with the teacher)

Give each group a schedule and ask them to represent the number they get to hundreds, tens, and ones
using the blocks. And then, they will write the number in the expanded and standard form (with value
place).
( Engage ,explain and extend).

Independent Experience (small group activity 1)


Ask each student to represent the hundreds in number with blocks and say how many hundreds, tens,
and ones in this number. For example: 400 include 4 hundred, 40 tens, and 400 ones.
(Extend, explore, and evaluate).
Independent Experience(small group activity 2)
Solve the Pupilbook. It will be an exercise about the value numbers.

I will ask each student to give a number ( 300-400-500 etc.) and write the hundreds , tens, and ones
for the number( discovery learning),

Check the answers together. Work on writing the numbers, and the Pupil book.
