Portfolio Artifact Description: Multiple Intelligences Using a 5 minute quiz asking 24 questions to
determine your Multiple Intelligence.
What you learned: I took the 24 question test and I learned a little bit more about myself. I cant say I
dont agree with the results by any means, they seem to pin point just about the kind of learner I am. I
seem to have a little bit of everything but no so much of the Naturalistic or the Bodily-Kinesthetic. The
percentages that I received for each where Intrapersonal 81%, Logical-Mathematical 69%, Visual-Spatial
67%, Interpersonal 63%, Verbal-Linguistic 50%, Musical 44%, Bodily-Kinesthetic 42%, and Naturalistic
33%. According to Intrapersonal, I do a lot better in a quiet atmosphere when I study and I love to learn!
This is absolutely true! I also would like to work on the weaker intelligences so that I can become a more
balanced teacher to help me be the best I can be for the students I will teach someday. Although, I am not
sure how I can improve on my Bodily-Kinesthetic Intelligence because I am just not that kind of learner,
but I do know that if I understand that kind of learning and research it I will then know how to teach a
student with that style. I love to research everything! That may be just one of the many reasons why I want
to teach.

Application of Skills Learned for the Future: I definitely agree with Howard Gardner analyzation of
Multiple Intelligences. I have 3 children and all three of them are different than the other. My middle son
was given the IQ test and was given a 70%. Yes, he is a bit slow but I remember when he was in
elementary school he could spell anything! I remember him spelling spaghetti off the top of his head
without a thought. If my son was taught with Multiple Intelligence in mind he would have been more
successful. School become more difficult for him and he took no interest in it. He was a hands on learner,
a visual learner but it was never nurtured. I remember the teacher I had in 3 rd grade and she was the only
teacher I remember. She was always very nice to me and interacted with me on a personal level. I felt she
genuinely cared about me and in return I respected her very much! I never gave her a hard time in class
and if I didnt respect a teacher, I did not always behave. I could be a pain but never for those treated me
like I mattered. I remember she was the first teacher to get through to me in reading books. I was reading
poetry at a very young age and loved storied. She nurtured that in me. I dont remember to much as age
is catching up with me, but what I do remember, Ill remember forever!
