A parent-run, not-for-profit organization
located at the familiar red barn on offering
preschool and kindergarten programs for
age 2-6.
Utilizes the Montessori philosophy to provide
an enriching developmental experience in
an environment where children are free to
play, learn, and explore at their own pace.
Classroom time is spent in the basic subject areas of Practical Life, Sensorial, Math,
Science, Language, Geography, Culture, Art,
Music, and Movement.

- Opportunities to share success and common
concerns with other parents.
- Developmental screenings to reassure parents
when their child is developing on target and

immunization and dental monitoring.
Through a partnership with Dubuque
Schools, serves 4-year-old children who
are participating in the voluntary pre-K
program. Also serves pre-K through K in
Title 1 schools. Through a partnership with
Dubuque County Early Childhood, serves
eligible children age prenatal through kindergarten entry.
