Handbook for Technology Planning in Texas Public Schools, winter 1991 retrieved
from http://files.eric.ed.gov/fulltext/ED368328.pdf
Harmony Science Academy Technology Plan has been formed and developed to
answer all the needs of the Texas E-Plan and also to assist the district by a strategic
plan for technology. The plan has four prominent outcomes. These outcomes are
expressed below:
Practicable:
This plan has been formed and developed to get utilized by not just technology
experts, but also by the staff whose technology standard and level may differ. Plan
has been worked on in a drill down format which allows the users to find the
prominent data and drill down the specified data, when necessary.
This plan aims to answer school necessities:
IT department knows their role to develop the effectiveness of technological
devices and also student results. IT department provides continuous reinforcement
to stakeholders with webinars and other staff trainings.
The plan is revised regularly:
Since there have been so many technological changes and it still does,
stakeholders can examine into and revise the plan from time to time. The districts
strategic plan also contains needs for regular, which can be annual updates.
The plan is realistic:
Every suggestion offered in this plan has been examined by Harmony staff to
approve that the institution is financially realistic and plans support the students
development.
Stakeholders will investigate to compare and evaluate various technological
installations in our and also other school districts.

proficiency and integration skills and necessities for staff training.
1. What do teachers and administrators think about the necessities of staff
trainings?
If a program will be installed to the school, sufficient training must be
organized for all the users to develop the benefit and effectiveness of a new
technology. Although the technology is user friendly, the first experience of

technological tool. Teachers and administrators may desire to know and get
familiar about how they should use and get most accurate usage for a specific
technology in their own areas.
2. Are administrators able to assist teachers with the installation of technology into
daily curriculum?
The administrators of our school are really tending to install technology into
curriculum. Cluster offices directed the schools to utilize technology as much
as they can in the regular classes. Core subject teachers are supposed to
implement the programs into the classes and find some ways to use more
technology in the classes. Other staff members technology utilization can be
mentioned as really supportive. The school has received their technology grant
the previous year and the administrators lead the teachers to implement
technology to their classes more all the time.
Define goals and an integration plan, with yearly activities, to provide staff
training chances related to your LEA necessity assessment information
and the Curriculum Component of this plan.
1. What kind of professional learning will be prepared so teachers and
administrators can be informed about the decisions using information to
answer individual student academic expectations?
All the clusters at our district have data analysts for collecting data and translate
the official staff in all the schools. They visit the schools in a certain and designed

plan then explain the upcoming projects related to the information. Besides each
cluster have their own instructional coaches to support and assist struggling
teachers or any teachers who may need help about their areas. Instructional
coaches visit the campuses, schools and classes to assist teachers in the classroom
in case if they may be waiting or requiring help.
2. What kind of professional learning will be prepared so teachers and
administrators can efficiently and effectively utilize technology to support the
student assessment?
