Classroom Atmosphere:
Teacher- student and studentstudent interactions.
Examples

Classroom procedures:
Groups, materials, supplies,
transitions, and, routines.
Reflection
I thought that the teacher did a very good job at attending to
the students commits. She always was very excited to hear
what ever student had to hear. Sometimes the students
would talk for too long and the teacher would have to cut
them off though; but then that student would talk to her
during alone time. I would love to have my own classroom
with as much interaction as this one.
Classroom behavior:
Expectations/rules,
monitoring, and response.
Classroom layout:
Arrangement of furniture,
resources for student use, and
technology integration.

Reflection
I thought that it was a cool idea to have the
word of the day up on the board. The teacher
would use it in a sentence randomly and you
can tell that some students picked up on it. It
was awesome when the students would look up
the meaning of the word because they just
wanted to know and it wasnt required.
The students really like the idea of the way the
teacher did math. I thought that it was kind of a
flawed system though, because the teacher
would say that one board was right but the
student next to them had it wrong. Then the
student would cheat and write down the right
answer without doing their own work.
However, I did like how the teacher would go
over the question on the board showing step by
step.
I think this is a very traditional way to run a
classroom. I would have loved to see the
students get more involved. I think it is really
good idea to have the students work in a group
and then give presentation on what they

Reflection
I thought that it was awesome listening
to the students read their papers out
loud to the class! The students really
grasped the idea of English terms
throughout their papers. There was also
some new vocabulary words that
students used properly throughout their
papers.
I think that the teachers within this
district do a really good job at getting
the students prepared for the next grade
level. I love the idea of children learning
through games, it makes it fun for them
and fun for the teacher as well. I also like
the idea of the students be able to have
extra help when they need it. I know that
when I was younger I always had to go
into extra help, but my teachers always
made it a fun learning experience for
me. I like the fact that if a child is
struggling with a project, then the
teacher will always allow more time.

Reflection
I think that these are really good skills to have
when working with a young age. I think the
teacher that I was working with better prepared
them for what they are going to encounter later
in school.
I think that my teacher did a lot of good ways
of monitoring student learning. I love the idea
of group conversances. I also think that the
self-reflections were really important in
making a difference in the way that the teacher
was teaching. She always made the children
fill out the goals on Monday and when Friday
came the students had to determine where they
stood on their goals for that week. The teacher

A lot of work is done on the IPads, so the games do not
count scores and the students are allowed to try the
right answer as many times as they would like
