Possible Preconceptions/Misconceptions:
Most of the students thought that they can pick vegetables and fruits from the upper part of the tree.
Students usually come to their mind that we use plants for food, they forget that there are other
objects, like furniture from wood or even medicine from different type of plant parts.

2- Activity, Classifying (from plants, not from plants): (On their groups)
Kids will return to their groups; they will find 3 white small boards on each group. The board in the left
will be labeled to (From plants), the middle board have a tree with parts name, the right bored labeled
to (Not from plants). They also will find a box contain different real and printed uses materials, already
stacked with magnetic. The kids will classify them easily, and the first group will finish will have gifts.

Concepts Explained and Vocabulary Defined:
1- Presentation PPT: (On the Floor)
The PowerPoint will just review what they did, then introduce the uses of the plants then mention the
parts for each example.
2- Vocabulary:
- Plant = Tree
- Fiber
- Medicine
- Classify
- Order
- Find your pair
ELABORATE: ( 10 min )
Applications and Extensions:
(On the Floor)
1- Activity Flash Cards, Find pairs:
(2 types of cards, part of plant & something used from plant)
Students will be sitting on the carpet again in a circle. Each student will take one flash card from a
box and pass it to the next kids. After they finish, the teacher will choose one to begin, he/she will
show his friends his card. One kid has to know that he is the one who should be the matching pair.
For example, one card is perfume, the other card should be flower as the plant part.
Last step, these pairs will put these cards sticks on a Display Board.
They all should have the chance to find their pairs, to display their sticks cards on the board.
EVALUATE: ( 3 min )
1- Formative Monitoring (Questioning / Discussion):
Discuss with kids what the learn?
2- Summative Assessment (Quiz / Project / Report):
Give them a worksheet
(If there is time, they will do it in the class, if not will do it at home as homework)
They have to draw/paste photo of one part of the plant in the left box
Then draw/paste an example use we get from this part of plant
