Narrative Statement: (How will your life look when you have achieved this long-term goal? This
will help you determine relevance and establish motivation.)
When I accomplish this goal, I will have more confidence in my physical abilities. I will have pride in the
fact that I worked hard at it and accomplished something different than things I've done in the past. This
goal helps me become a more well rounded person and expand my talents and abilities.
What obstacles will you need to overcome or what are you willing to sacrifice to achieve your long-term
goal? (This step will help you determine achievability.)
A major obstacle that comes with perfecting any hobby is finding time to practice. With studying and
going to classes, it's hard to find time to practice. One thing I'm willing to sacrifice to accomplish this
goal is sleep. I'm willing to go to bed earlier and wake up earlier so I can practice in the mornings before
class.
I deserve this goal because: (This step will help you bolster your motivation.)
1. I deserve this goal because I am talented and I am going to expand my talents by becoming
better at tennis.
2.
I hereby commit to myself to achieve this goal.

This goal will help improve my GPA and help me understand math. It will help me be prepared for future
math classes and help me prepare for future occupations.
What obstacles will you need to overcome or what are you willing to sacrifice to achieve your long-term
goal? (This step will help you determine achievability.)
An obstacle with this goal is the time it takes to understand math and the different formulas and equations
involved with it. Something I am willing to sacrifice for this goal is my time and effort. I'm willing to
dedicate my time more to studying math rather than going through the motions of the class.
I deserve this goal because: (This step will help you bolster your motivation.)
1. I deserve to pass my math class with an A because it will improve my GPA significantly.
2. I deserve to pass my math class because I deserve an education and a broader understanding of
the world.

Narrative Statement: (How will your life look when you have achieved this long-term goal? This

After completing a mission, I will have had many different experiences than those I've had in the past. I
will better my self spiritually, as well as expand my social and communication skills. I will have bettered
my relationship with God and expanded my spirituality.
What obstacles will you need to overcome or what are you willing to sacrifice to achieve your long-term
goal? (This step will help you determine achievability.)
A big obstacle that comes with serving a mission is the cost. I am willing to sacrifice 30% of my
paycheck to go toward my mission fund.
I deserve this goal because: (This step will help you bolster your motivation.)
1. I deserve the opportunity to better myself spiritually and come to know myself and God better.
2.
I hereby commit to myself to achieve this goal.
