**Teacher Action: the teacher will explain the following
expectations for behavior to students and reinforce accordingly
throughout the lesson.

Review of what we have been going over the last few
classes
Explain that we will be talking about how groups make
decisions together, how communities maintain their
natural environments and why that is important

Watch for depictions of cooperation, ideals of

Watch for how first nations respected environment.
Listen to narration

What are some things we might be able to do in
order to help keep are community a clean and safe
place?
Listen to how students answer these questions.
Look for answers such as recycle, turn off the taps, pick up our
trash etc.

Learning Activity #2

In this activity students will design a poster that raises
awareness about the environment and what needs to be done in
order to show we care about our community.

They may refer to blueberry way, or the recycling video for


examples as to how they might raise awareness, reduce, reuse
and recycle)
Teacher actions:
Explain that students will be required to create a poster
that spreads awareness about keeping their natural
environment clean.
This poster needs to explain how we can improve our
environment and what we can do specifically (recycle
etc.)
Discuss guiding and key questions during the activity
