Brochure
In this project, we were asked to create a brochure of any fold-type of
our choice. I decided to go with the offset brochure style, in which part
of the content page would be shown on the front page.

Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign

Objectives

Create a personalized Brochure Design

Process I had used Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, and

Photoshop Elements to create the brochure.

Using the basic pen tool, I created a logo in
Illustrator and transfered it over to InDesign,
in which I made the brochure layout with
many shape tools. I finally finished off the
brochure by creating a basic digital copy of
the brochures front, inside, and back.

Letterhead
This project involved a lot of studying to see what letterheads looked
good and try and emulate our own design ideas into a letterhead that
could be usable in the industry.

Objectives

Create a letterhead using a logo design

Process To start the project off, I had to think of a

logo design I wanted. It took a while, but I

came up with a logo I liked. I then had to
create a simple format for a letterhead that
was both appealing and non-obtrusive.

Web Page
Having been given the option, we were required to use one of the
logos we made from a previous project and implement it into a
website to show basic formatting of html 5 and CSS.

Notepad and HTML5

Objectives

Learning how to do HTML 5 Formatting

Process The only program I used for this project was

Notepad. Having been given the basic code
for CSS and HTML, I edited it in notepad to
fit my needs a bit more and finished it off by
saving the .txt file as a .html file instead.

Business Card
Much like the letterhead, we had to look up multiple business cards
and create a business card akin to our designing desires.

Objectives

Create a business card based off a logo

Process Much like the Letterhead and Website, I

used the logo shown to the right. I then

studied business cards and how they
looked, and created a minimalistic design
that was easy to read and have proper
information to a client, if I were to ever use
the business card.

Logos
Spending a long amount of time searching through logos, we had to
find design ideas and company ideas for a logo we wanted to create,
then utilize our abilities to create it.

Process Solely using Adobe Illustrator, I used

created a logo based off of a company I

thought would be plausible. I then had to
modify it accordingly and pick a design I
liked the most.

The main idea of this project was to see our abilities in using
photoshop to create digitally enhanced images that are appealing to
the eye.

Objectives

Edit an image in utilize in a design

Process Having taken a good portion of time, I found

a good spot to take a picture. After I took
the picture, I edited it in photoshop, giving
it vibrance and focus. I then found a color
scheme that worked well with the picture
and created a composition based on what I
took a picture of.

Montage
Using our best knowledge of photoshop, we needed to compile
at least two images together and make them look like they went
together.

Objectives

Create a meaningful montage

Process We had to find a spiritual quote we wanted

to portray in a montage then find pictures
that went along with the quote. After that,
we edited the pictures to have coherence
in their structure, color, and design, then
plugged it all in with the quote to create a
montage.

Event Ad
For this project, we were given limits on the programs we could use to
create a design. For this one, we could only use microsoft word, and
we were only allowed to use pictures we scanned from a copier.

Process Having rifled through a good magazine, I

found a picture I liked and created an event

that seemed liked it went along with it. After
that, I created a color scheme that added
an effect of calm, given the event was about
therapeutic herbs and remedies.

Flier
Given set guidelines and a small array of pictures, we were to create
a black-and-white flier for a company called Vouant.
