Budget: Day 5 Fill in the 12 month budget (see attached)
Were you able to save money after 12 months?

Unit 6: Family Project Packet

No because we got awful jobs

What seems like the most difficult part of having a family?

Learning to compromise with your partner

What was the most eye-opening aspect of the project?

Life is expensive. Why do we have to be punished and have to buy these things, what if I
wanted to be a dog.

How important is education in providing for a family?

The better the education you have, the better job you can get to support your family.

Journal Prompts: Write Journals Below

Day 1: Find out everything about your spouse. (birthday, favorite food, likes/dislikes, etc.)
Day 2: How do you decide who/where to employ to watch your child?
Day 3: What were the most important and least important factors in choosing a home and car?
Day 4: What insurance did you decide to purchase and what investments did you decide to
make?
Day 5: What factors played into where you shopped and the brands you chose to purchase?
Day 6: What did you learn from this assignment? (Costs, Responsibility, Relationships, etc.)

Day 1 - Birthday: April 2nd Favorite Food: Mac and Cheese Likes/Dislikes: Like sleeping, dont
like seafood.

Day 2 - I am unemployed so I will be watching the children.

Day 3 - Most important was budgeting our money, least important is how small the apartment is.

Unit 6: Family Project Packet

Day 4 - We have Allstate insurance. There was a bundle deal for car and renters insurance. It is
bundled together to be only $10 a month.

Day 5 - Whichever is the cheapest affected our decision on which brand we would purchase.

Day 6 - Kids are a lot of money, it is insane! Relationships are a lot of work to work together and
compromise on what you want to buy and how you want to raise your children.
