InthemiddleofthetableitJesusandallonhisrightandleftthereseemtobepeoplewithropes
thatlooktobehisdisciples.Theyalsoappeartobecommunicatingbutatthesametimelooked
shockedorsurprised.Behindthemthereaview,thatseemtobeinatemplewithaviewofthe
landoutside.
TheartworksupposestorepresentJesuslastmealcalled"TheLastSupper"byLeonardo
daVinci,whichrepresentedthefinalmealthat,intheGospelaccounts.WhereJesussharedwith
hisApostlesinJerusalem(12disciples)beforehiscrucifixion.Eventhoughknowingoneofhis
12discipleswasgoingtobetrayhimhestilltreatedthemKindlywithaforgivenessheartand
offerthemfood.
Theobjectisnotnormallyconsideredaestheticvaluebecauseitisareligiousartpiece.So
onlythosewhohavethatreligiousbeliefthatinvolveJesusChristmightconsideritanaesthetic
value.Butnotthosewhoaren'treligioustoJesusChristwouldn'tseeitasanaestheticvalue.The
paintingdemonstratingJesuslastsupperwithhistwelvedisciplesasittoldinJohn13:21inthe
bible.Thisartpaintingisconsideredtobefunctionalism.Functionalismmeaninganartthatis
beingdefinedasameaningofanexpression,ideasorshowingemotionsasitrepresentation.The
pictureisrepresentingfunctionalismbecauseitrepresentingJesusandhisdiscipleandbeing
Jesuslastsupper.AlsorepresentingChristianbeliefoftheHolyTrinity.Asyouseethepainting
youcanseethereisn'tenoughtofoodforeveryonelittlebreadandfishbutenoughwineormore
of.YoucanseetheexpressionofJesusandhisdisciples.Hisdisciplesalltalkingwhilejesus
showingthatthere'sfood.TheirdisciplesseemtobesurprisedbysomethingJesusdidbythe
reactionofthethreedisciplesonJesusleftandright.
Thepictureusesmanyoftheeightprinciplesofaestheticthatareapplicabletothispicture.

Myperspectiveofartisanartorobjectthatshowsfeelingandbringsoutbeautywithcolor
andshades.Anexpressionusinghumancreativeskillssuchasapainting,sculpture,dance,
literatureormusic.Toshowemotionsorbeauty.Whichgivesaudiencefeelings,makesusthink,
oranillusiontoanobjectorpainting.It'salsoabranchoflearningthings.Italsowayswhere
peopletendtotakeouttheirselfexpressiontowardtheirfeelingsorideas.Itcanalsobea
mixtureofcolors,shapes,orwhattheartistimagineandect..Tome,Ialsofeelitthewaymany
peopletendtoasawaytoexpresstheirhiddenfeelings.
ToconcludethepictureIchoseinmykitchenbeing"JesusLastSupper"byLeonardoda
Vinciisconsideredtobefunctionalism.Thepaintingisnotnormallyconsideredaestheticvalue
becauseitisareligiousartpiece,onlythosewiththesamereligiousbeliefmightconsideritan
aestheticvalue.TheLastSupperpictureusesmanyoftheeightprinciplesofaestheticthatwere
applicable.Thisprincipleincludedprincipleone,two,four,fiveandseven.OverallLeonardo
painting"TheLastSupper"wasaverymeaningfulandbeautifulpaintingwithalotmeaning
intoit,thosewiththesamebeliefofcourse.
