Student Teaching Observation Rubric was graded by my field supervisor, Professor Allen Wien. Students were learning to identify the GCF in various polynomial expressions or quadratic expressions. In this rubric, there was a category called "Skill in Teaching". In that category, I received 3. Out of 4.0.

Artifact: Student Teaching Observation Rubric, and the video of this Students Teaching Observation. Discussion: I used Student Teaching Observation Rubric as an artifact for Dimension 4 (skill in teaching), and the video. This observation rubric was graded by my field supervisor, Professor Allen Wien, while I was student teaching in Manhattan Hunter Science High School. Student teachers are all required to be observed and graded by a field supervisor in order to receive grade for student teaching course. The topic for this lesson was Algebraic Expression. Students were learning to identify the GCF in various polynomial expressions or quadratic expressions. In this rubric, there was a category called Skill in Teaching. In that category, I received 3.2 out of 4.0. During this lesson, I motivated students effectively and most students were motive to learn. The lesson contained essential components of classroom interaction, such as teacher demonstration, group work and individual assignment (homework). I also used Smart-Board during teaching, and students participation as you will see in the video.
