Science Reflection
Its essential to know the cause and effect concept especially because they rest at the heart
of science. Furthermore, students acquire better predictions that lead to unique hypothesis. For
example, is important to provide evidence to support the theory made on an experiment. A
possible way to arrive into detail conclusions in a given project is to always record all that occurs
during an observation. The final purpose of cause and effect is to generate visible patterns in a
teaching lesson. Additionally, I learn that I must be able to have a model for students to recreate,
so they will know beforehand what it is expected from them. Also I should ask questions to
assure that students understand the lessons.
In the same way, I believe that my science courses prepare me adequately to recognize
the background of science, in specific SMT 416, PHY 300, and BIO 102; in this course I
remember that all the activities were hands on. I recall one of the activities was outside the
classroom and each student had to grab a flower then we had to draw it, label and describe the
(stem, petal, style, pollen and stamen etc.,) in our journals. On the other hand, SMT 416 and
PHY 300 required lab reports/experiments; these are important they should be incorporate in the
lesson to assist students in their learning retention.
For the above reasons, I consider myself well prepared in data analysis and capable of
conducting observations among the worlds nature. In addition, SMT 416 prepared me to discuss
about weather and climate. In fact these are quite different weather is (such as sunny, cloudy,
rainy, and warm); climate quantitative include numbers of sunny, windy, and rainy days in a

month. Correspondingly, PHY 300 got me ready for the concept known as forces and motion.
Furthermore, I recall that in class we spend a good amount of time on action and reaction of
objects, and I learn that doing either force can change the speed or direction of the object. Also
other types of interaction can alter the start or stop of the object. As well crashing or touching
other objects can result on the push on one another causing a change in motion.
Unfortunately, I have difficulty drawing, so I admit that my drawings or sketches might
lack the information that the visual students wish to see on the white board. However, I am
grateful for our technology which is accessible and ready to download, some good drawings that
will help improve the quality of the science lesson. Moreover, I consider myself as having some
possible deficits in the area of earths system because I feel unprepared to teach classifications of
objects into given categories. Though with proper training and practice I believe I can master this
area to the best of my ability.
So far, in this science section I am planning to share my reflection, two work samples
from SMT 416 a lab, and lecture exam about measurement and scientific inquiring about the
earths structure. These exams reflect the knowledge I acquire from this science course which
provide skills that I will use when I become a teacher. Likewise, all the understanding I gain in
the exams will be address in my science lessons.
