Functional Hypothesis
When interacting with or
observing other classmates,
Michael will act out and use
aggression in order to get
attention.

Behavior Intervention
Plan
Goal 1: Have Michael speak politely and calmly when
talking to other classmates.
Proposed intervention: Traffic light on Mrs. Adams
desk; Change colors depending on Michaels behavior. If
he stays at green the whole day for 3 straight days he will
get a reward. If he reaches red 3 or more times per day
he will lose recess.
Person responsible:
Michael
Other classmates
Teacher

Goal 2: Michael will act out less during class.

Proposed Intervention: We will provide Michael with a personal daily
schedule/checklist on his desk so he knows what to be doing at a given
time. This will also have him self-monitor himself and use responsibility.
Allow Michael to stay in seat during carpet time.
Person responsible:
Michael
Teacher

Goal 3: Have Michael stay on-task while doing work and complete
independently
Proposed intervention: Michael responds to sensory stimulation have foam border put around edges of desk as cushion. He can hold
on to this while doing work. Have a special location assigned for him to
do work alone when overwhelmed.
Person Responsible:
Teacher
Michael

Behavior
Intervention Goals
1. Improve home reinforcement system
a.Making a contract with his parents
and working as a team may help.
2. Giving Michael a calm down break.
3. Keeping Michael ALWAYS near an
adult. Move his desk near the
teachers desk.
