B. Abstract
For my EDGE Project I was an intern at the Hill Aerospace Museum in Roy,
Utah. I worked in the Aerospace Center of Education or ACE. This project was
meant to educate kids of all ages on the different aspects to flight. The main
part I want to focus my EDGE project on is the Aerospace Education Camps
that occurred during my internship. These two camps lasted for a week each.
During the course of these camps, we sought to teach children between the
ages of 9-12 the different areas of flight, parts of equipment on aircraft along
with the functions they performed, and understand specific areas of the
Airforce.

C. Project Details
1. Through this experience of working at the ACE center, I learned how to
interact with people of all ages. I worked with other interns around my
age, and from them I learned how to work as a team. We had to plan the
activities for the camps that the museum was hosting. This was a difficult
task because everyone wanted to do something different. We worked

together to plan activities that would help teach the kids about the
different areas of flight and jobs associated with these areas.
2. This project is example of me being involved in my community and a
global citizen. I am engaged in my community because I was getting to
teach the people who live in the same community that I do. I am a global
citizen as well because I got to interact with people from all around the
world who came to see the museum.
3. I did this project because I am interested in the mechanics of flight and
also because I want to be a nurse. Through my internship I gained better
people skills. I was exposed to all age groups. This will be very beneficial
to my future as a nurse because I want to be able to work with all age
groups. This event has given me experience that will last well after the
internship is over.

E. Budget
For my project I was asked to create a list of expenses for my project. The Hill
Aerospace Museum paid for most of the expenses of the Aerospace Education
Camps. The only thing that was not paid by the museum was the
participation fee that each child had to pay in order to participate in the
camp. Supplies and snack budget includes both camps.
