different menus, but I am not asking for all that work!) Old fashioned
oatmeal 100% natural/whole grain, two half gallon of almond milk,
apples, oranges, tuna fish, canned chicken breast, mayonnaise,
canned vegetables, two loaf of whole grain bread, peanut butter,
strawberry jam, ham, cheese, and coffee.

4. Reflections Writing Assignment
Just to think about preparing for a tornado coming around the area is really difficult
to set up my mind and focus in what can be done in the event of being trap in the
house with such disaster. Here I am asked to reflect in the event of being in
mandatory 21 day quarantine, in which it is promised to have electricity and natural
gas working properly as well the water being safe to drink. It is hard to think I must
be isolated at home and get nonperishable food items to survive for this period of
time, since in my daily routine I do not use canned food at all. I like to go to
groceries to touch and feel vegetables and fruits I want to eat, and fresh meat and
chicken I want to buy.
How is this assignment helping me to learn about nutrients I need and about
what I consume? It is helping me in great way, because now I am force to look at
labels to know what kind of nutrients and the amount containing in each package,
and most of all I am aware how labels could be misinterpreted. Even knowing that
eating fresh is better to taste and rich in nutrients I have learn that I can find the
same nutrients in a canned item by choosing it carefully.
Knowing that I will be trapped in the house and limited to certain specific
nutritious items give me anxiety and makes me depressed but at the same time, it
gives me the opportunity to learn different way of surviving without putting my
health in a dangerous.
