Modeling

Have a mind mapping with some


bubbles. The biggest bubble in the
center is the topic, e.g. My Best
Friend, Amy. The main bubble is
connected to other smaller bubbles
which titled Appearance and
Personality. Each sub bubble is
connected to their sub sub-bubbles
about the details. For example, the
sub bubble Appearance has subsub-bubbles long black hair,
chubby cheeks, thin, tall, etc.

Checking for understanding

Checking the relevancy of the bubbles in


their mind mapping by asking them to
explain briefly about their mind mapping

Students mention the characteristics of


good and bad friends orally by
discussing with other friends in the class
in order to determine who they will be
described as their best friends. They
have to make mind mapping of their own
individually. Observe the students as
they make mind mapping to monitor

mind mapping to help their speech in
describing person. They have to choose
other best friends with different gender.
