AILET is conducted by National Law University (NLU), Delhi to screen students for

their five year integrated law programs. It is considered as one of the toughest
law entrance exams. NLU- Delhi conducts its own entrance exam while other
NLUs consider CLAT score to select students for their programs. AILET 2016 is
scheduled to be held on 1 May, 2016. The registrations for the same will begin
from 1 January, 2016 onwards.
National Law University- Delhi is one of the most prestigious law colleges in India.
Recently they have announced the 6th Indian Vis Pre-Moot for the Willem C. Vis
International Commercial Arbitration Moot Court Competition. It is organized in
association with the International Chamber of Commerce, Paris (ICC). The
competition will be held in NLU- Delhi campus itself from 25 th to 28th February,
2016. The teams for the competition will be selected on the first come first serve
basis, however preferences will be given to foreign teams.
There are only 80 seats for the five year integrated B.A LLB program and there are
a large number of applicants every year. AILET tests a candidates knowledge of
English, logical reasoning, General knowledge, Mathematics, and Legal Aptitude.
Each section consists of 35 questions each while the mathematics section
consists of only 10 questions. It is a pen- paper based test and the total time
allotted for the test is 90 minutes. As there is no sectional time obligation, one
needs to manage time. Also, one can begin with any section as per their
choice. . 1 mark will be awarded for every correct answer and no marks will be
awarded for un-attempted questions. There is no negative marking for incorrect
answers. The test is of 150 marks.
The test was held in 19 cities last year and the same test city centers are expected
this year as well. The notification regarding the registration is officially out. The
registrations will begin from 1 January 2016 onwards. The admit cards will be
released in the first week of April, 2016 and the results are expected to be out in
the third week of May, 2016. The candidates will be shortlisted on the basis of the
ranks of AILET 2016. The shortlisted candidates will then be called in for counseling.
