Figure below shows the top view of a gear train which is consists of a pair of miter
bevel gears (Gear 1 and 2) and three spur gears (Gear 3, 4 and 5). The gears have
the following number of teeth: N1 = 30 teeth, N3 = 40 teeth, N4 = 45 teeth and
N5 = 60 teeth. Gear 3 has a module of 10 mm.

Determine the velocity and direction of gear 5 as gear 1 drives at 1200 rpm
in the direction shown.
Determine the center distance between gear 3 and 5.
Explain briefly the purpose of gear 4.
