y Coming Together into Gods Presence z

The First Noel (Kenneth D. Varner)

One: We meet to worship God and to remember, tell, and show Gods love.
All: Like a bright star in the night sky,
the life of Christ lights up the whole world.
One: The star of hope shines on, and no darkness will overcome it.
All: The light of Christ shows us who we are and what we can be,
where we have been and where we should go.
One: Let us walk in the light and give thanks to God.
All: We walk in the light of Christ as bearers of hope and love for the world.

y Responding to the Word of God z

Theres a Song in the Air

Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name,
Thy kingdom come, thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.
And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, forever. Amen.

Turning Point 2016 Calendar for sale - Jane Mudd, an art

professor on the faculty at Williams Woods University in Fulton
spent considerable time this past summer at Turning Point, getting
to know and producing a series of painted portraits of some of the
folks she met there. You might have seen the portraits on display at
the performances of A Night at the Shelter in November. They
will be on display at the Boone County Historical Society galleries
in early 2016. In addition to being generous with her time on this
project, Jane has graciously allowed Turning Point to put together a
2016 calendar incorporating 15 of the paintings as a fundraiser. A
sample is in the church office. The cost is $25, and benefits Turning
Point, an organization run by Wilkes Blvd. UMC that provides
services with dignity and hope for Columbians experiencing
