Executive Summary:
i. Project Title:
Food for Hungry & Blankets for cold affected.
ii. Executing Agency:
Jesus Christ Believers Community Ministry
This is a pioneer Christian Ministry serving God and His people in
Bangladesh and India for last 75 years for the glory of our Lord.
iii. Geographical Coverage:

This project will be executed in Jamalpur, Mymensingh, Netrokona

and Sherpur Districts, situated in Mymensingh Division. For the
map of each four districts, please refer to annexure 1,2,3 and 4
respectively. For the map of Mymensingh Division and
Bangladesh, please refer to Annexure 5 & 6 respectively.
iv. Target Group:
Poor Christian Families living in Mymensingh Division who are
suffering because of the ongoing critical situation of Bangladesh
caused by various reasons.
v. Purpose of the Project:
To provide Rice, Dal, Salt, Green Chili and Vegetables for
them to make Khichuri and vegetable curry.
To provide blankets to them who are suffering because of
cold.
vi. Number of Beneficiaries:
This project will initially provide 5,000 Christian brothers and
sisters from 1,000 families with food and 2,000 brothers and
sisters with warm blankets.

Problem Statement:
Because of the presence of strong militant networks like IS, the
overall structural condition of Bangladesh is unstable. Because of
that, most of the people of Bangladesh are leading a miserable
life, whether in terms of having no food or discontinuation of jobs
and businesses. The sufferings of people of Bangladesh know no
bounds. The condition of Christian brothers and sisters under our
ministerial service is miserable, unbearable and severe due to the
rapidly rising unstable situation in Bangladesh because of militant
groups and many other reasons. Almost every day, somewhere in
3

Bangladesh, Gun-wars are taking places and many people are

being killed with many being injured, Overall, the situation of
Bangladesh is unstable, unpredictable and risky which is
triggering many other problems to follow, e.g. unemployment,
hunger, problem in communication etc.
The sufferings of common people have taken a big leap to the sky
due to the closing of thousands of working places in Bangladesh
in last few years, e.g. Mill Factories, Garment Factories, various
sorts of business companies, etc. Because of this, the number of
unemployed people are increasing. This is not the only reason
behind the increasing of unemployed people. And in case of the
remaining working places, people who has power and money get
jobs there instead of people who actually are qualified. That's why
the number of qualified unemployed people in Bangladesh are too
high. The problem of unemployment has made the food problem
even more severe.
At the same time when prices of commodities are decreasing, the
price of those in Bangladesh are rising which is causing even
more sufferings to the already suffering people which is resulting
into the increase of number of hungry people, especially hungry
and famishing children. People don't even have any place to work
and earn money, how can they provide their families with food
which costs so much? Bangladesh is a poor country, where
earning food is not possible if you don't have any work. Millions of
people in Bangladesh are living under poverty line.
To make the problems even more unbearable, winter has already
arrived with it's shivering cold weather and cold diseases.
Suffering people don't have even money to buy food, let alone
money for buying winter clothes and blankets to sustain them
during winter.

Food for Hungry and Blankets for

Cold Affected:
We have been commanded by God in Bible many times to serve
one another and thats why with His Mercy, JCBC Ministry has
decided to help our hungry and cold affected Christians brothers
and sisters in their distress and sufferings and so we launched
this project to help our brothers and sisters in need. The goals of
this project has been described below with bullet points:
This project will initially cover 1000 suffering Christian
families living in all four districts of Mymensingh District and
will provide Rice, Dal, Vegetables, Salt and Green Chilies to
them. Each families will get at least 30 K.Gs of rice, 2 K.Gs of
Dal, 1 K.G. Salt and K.G. Green Chili. With Rice and Dal,
they will be able to make Khichuri and with vegetables, they
will be able to cook simple curries.
2000 cold affected Christian brothers and sisters and
children will be provided with warm blankets so that they can
sustain during this bone-shivering winter.

contain selected verities for the area for each family. These
family packets will be distributed to the pre-selected families in
the selected areas, which will be monitored and Co-coordinated
from the Head office. Transportation and packing costs and
overhead costs will be provided from ministry and therefore will
not be included in the estimation of budget.
