Double the Trouble for China
The Loneliest Generation is what people have call it for many decades the
children of China have been controlled by a communist government. After three
decades of Chinese Policys, the limits of it have changed. People say China is very
controlling, Aileen Clarke from National Geographic says China is controlling its
families and their rights to do what they want in their own homes by the one child
policy. The idea of the one child policy was to help control Chinas population.
Chinas population was overflowing it was passed as a law to stop the rapid growth
of Chinas people. The president of China Xi Jinping and the communist party voted
for the policy to change in October 2015, and will then began to let the couples of
China to have other baby in 2016. The old policy was around for decades, people
called it cruel and unnecessary. Karen Zraick from New York Times said It should
have been lifted years ago. Now with it gone the cruel law still leaves a dark
lurking shadow over many families.
Some parents have dreamed of this day for years, but it all comes down to
the math and money the couples have to rise more children. A citizen of China Sun
Jinsong says to New York Times that In general, speaking of the countrys policy I
think its the right thing to do. Says the removal of the policy will not harm families
but bring them joy. Lots of people have many different options on Chinas ended the
one child policy. It will cost more for the parents or it will help the kids become
more social because they have a brother or sister. Couples in China say having

another kid will be harder to pay for school and further each kids education or food
each week and clothing etc. Chris Buckley of New York Times says The schools in
china cost a lot for one child needs to pay 2,500 yuan per month with two it will be
5,000.
Chinese health authorities describe the gender imbalanced among newborns
as the most serious and prolonged in the world because of the one child policy. Like
most of the Asian nation China is bias for sons many families have abort females or
abandon baby girls or are forced to by hospitals. To ensure that they have a son to
carry on the family name. So 118 boys are born and 100 girls to a global average of
103 to 107 says Sui Lee Wee. With a Billion people in China they have more men
than women its the greatest gender imbalanced in the world. The Chinese enforced
this rule because the one child policy started in 1970s the rate of men went really
high and still is. They believe men will take care of their elders and females will not.
The gender unbalanced also messed up the dating and marriage rate that there are
more men than women so its harder to find a wife in china today.
As the worlds second largest economy Chinas nation has a massive effect
on worldwide markets. China now as the worst economic growth since the financial
crisis and stock market has unsettled investors says Sopina Yan from cnn.com.
China as throw away the one child now allowing two kids for couples. But will help
change or fix Chinas broken economic crisis. Even with the new rates of children in
China. People will see a spark of change but the dramatic change will take decades
to boost work force. But some couples may not want other child keep the economy
the same. The Working age for people in china are 15 to 59 and could fall to 7%
from 2010 to 2030 Says Sophia Yan from cnn.com. It will years before the babies
being born to get a result of the child change and they are old enough to join the

workforce. Also Chinas hospital and medical systems will not be ready for the
increase in children to come in. The Chinese population is an aging group filled elder
people working hard in their old age and thats not right. Their jobs need to be
taking over by a younger workers who can take of the job and change the aging
rates in China.

The New York Times went to a park in Beijing and asked parents there opinion
on China lifting the policy letting married couples have other baby. Three people
agreed that the change is a good thing for China and the children of China and we
will have to wait and see. Two others said that its just too much for one couple to
bear. Chinas communist party as finally opened there mind about letting married
couples have other kid but the Chinese community is not so sure after 35 years of
pushing the government to ditch the law. Now that it as been be lifted it leaves the
Chinese wondering what now? But not all of the China has been drag down by this
law many couples left china went to Europe or America to start a family where its
legally to have more than one kid. In conclusion the one child policy as damaged
China economically, physical. But it has also affected the people of China
emotionally and as messed with their rights as a person by taking away this policy
the people have a choice not a huge one but it counts as a win for the Chinese
people. After 35 years of being control by the government there now have a small
window of freedom. Even though the horrible damage has been done on some
familys better future is sure to come to the country of China.
